Such a lovely place to stay and to chill!great host ,so helpful for our trip!!!! Go for it,you won t regret it!!!
Erin & Peter’s casita is absolutely lovely and precisely as pictured. As hosts they genuinely care about your experience in Costa Rica and at their perfect little tropical home. Before our stay they responded to any questions we sent promptly and provided excellent pre-arrival information. Upon our arrival we found picturesque postcards, fresh fruit and flowers as a welcome gifts. They invited us into their home to help us with some activity planning and served us cold beers and delicious bean dip with chips. The casita is adorable and the bedroom is idyllic and romantic. We were there during quite a warm period, but slept deeply with the breeze coming in from the wide-open window with its jungle canopy view. Only ever awoken by the enchanting sound of the howler monkeys and birds. They provided beach towels and even lent us a hammock, as our beach lounging chairs and hammock were stolen earlier during our Costa Rican trip (don’t leave a thing, not a thing, in your car). We loved the Garza area, a bit more off the beaten path, yet convenient and with the low-key, un-touristy feeling we desired. Erin & Peter’s, beach, restaurant and activity ideas were spot on. Our only mistake was not spending more of our trip in Garza and in their sweet casita. Thank you Erin & Peter! C & K
We had a lovely stay at Erin and Peter's jungle casita. Our arrival was delayed by a day as we got into a minor road accident on the drive over from San Jose (an elderly man in a van hit us as he didn't have his glasses on) but Erin and Peter were amazing hosts. They let us stay an extra night for free to make up for the day we missed as they saw that we were still injured and needed to rest. Their casita is exactly as it appears in the photographs and it's next door to their home which is very convenient if you have any questions. Both Erin and Peter are longtime locals so they have great restaurant recommendations and they are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. The casita is sheltered by a beautiful Guancaste tree (a sacred tree in Costa Rica) and the architecture blends in with the rustic jungle surroundings. The bedroom upstairs has tall ceilings and a large bay window overlooking the lush landscape that makes you feel as if you are sitting in a tree house. The decor conjures an luxurious African safari tent complete with a mosquito net. The home is perfect for nature lovers as it's ensconced in the jungle but it's a short drive away from the nearby beaches. It's tastefully decorated, extremely clean and the kitchen is well stocked. It's also reasonably priced compared to nearby hotels. Lying in the hammock and eating breakfast in the garden were highlights. Thanks Erin and Peter for everything!
Very welcoming. Very cozy. Great vacation without a single worry about lodging. Peter and Erin were very helpful to find local restaurants and hidden beach jewels. Peter gave us directions for interesting places that can't be found in the the travel books. Definitely would visit again.
Erin and Peter's casita was beyond expectations! My boyfriend and I arrived a bit later than expected and outside the normal check in hours but Erin and Peter kindly greeted us and gave us an orientation of the house and the area the following morning. They were very helpful with teaching us about activities, restaurants and getting around the area. The bungalow itself was beautifully designed and the perfect getaway for couples. My boyfriend tends to run very hot and although there was no AC it was not an issue due to the open air design of the house and natural breezes from the ocean. My boyfriend proposed on our second night and we have made memories here that will last a lifetime! I would highly recommend this casita to anyone looking to stay in the Nosara area!
Spotless and beautiful private cottage on the owner's property. Hear howler monkeys every morning and watch birds through your open window. It does get a bit warm during the day but cools off at night, and there are several ceiling fans. Be aware that if you're traveling to this part of Costa Rica you need a vehicle meant for rough roads. We had a Kia car and it was silly. In an SUV, especially one with four-wheel drive, the roads would have been much easier. That said, Garza is a quiet town with a lovely beach, fresh fish to eat, and a relaxing vibe. Take the horseback tour Erin recommends--you'll ride horses on the beach (perhaps in moonlight, as we did, if the tide is right), and you might see monkeys that live close to the beach. We recommend going up to the Nosara Nature Reserve for a tour. We took the 6 a.m. one and saw a spectacled owl and monkeys; also got a nice overview of the area's flora and fauna. Ask there if they are doing turtle tours. The turtles shouldn't have been laying eggs during our trip (full moon), but they were, and so that evening we got to visit the beach and watch. I would return to to this area.
Erin and Peter's guest house above Playa Garza in Nosara, Costa Rica is truly beautiful with a breathtaking view of the Pacific from the main living area and the master bedroom. The house is equipped with lovely finishes and everything that you could need for a great stay, kitchen, bathrooms, living, sleeping areas are top notch. Getting to know Erin and Peter was one of the highlights of our trip. We hope to return soon. Robert, Suzanne and Cindy
Peter and Erin were wonderful hosts. They gave us an orientation of the house and the entire area and answered any questions for our trip. My wife and I both got massages from Erin and she is fantastic! They welcomed us to their home for an evening to visit and have fun. The house itself has everything you need from a full kitchen, washer/dryer, plenty of room, 2 bathrooms, and a wonderful view with a pool and hammock. You are in a very safe (gated and locked) and secluded area that is private and has the feel of the jungle. We had howler monkeys come right up in the back and saw a large group of them pass by. More wildlife (monkeys, birds, insects, etc) here than anywhere else we visited. Great setting and hosts!
What an incredible experience! We spent two weeks at Casa Pepito and can truthfully say each day was more amazing than the last. What a wonderful way to begin my day at 5 AM when the male howlers would wake up the jungle and the most beautiful birds would join in with their songs! So awesome! The villa was beautifully appointed and had all conveniences of home. The view from the terrace was breathtaking. We (my sister & I) felt completely safe there as the property was secure.
Casa Pepita was absolutely beautiful! My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 days and we had a blast. The house is up a on a hill with breathtaking views, just like the pictures. Erin and Peter were waiting for us when we arrived around 7pm. They greeted us with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a pineapple from their garden. The house is very clean, well constructed, beautifully decorated and we couldn’t be happier.
Erin and Peter were amazing hosts and people! We count ourselves lucky to have met them and feel very honored to have stayed in their magnificent villa. We look forward to seeing them again in the future. Their villa is in a secluded hilltop jungle overlooking Playa Garza, you have complete privacy with no visible neighbors around the villa. As soon as you walk into the main door, you will be welcomed with a picture perfect view. There's also a private gate and front yard to park your car. Everything in the house is well kept and has everything you'll need. I love all the thoughtful touches they provided throughout the place, seriously there's everything you'll need from cooking, doing laundry, making smoothies or even beaching! You can dunk yourself into their cooling whirlpool while soaking in all the surrounding nature. We've seen so many butterflies, birds, and etc. on their panoramic terrace. We didn't have to go anywhere to see nature because they were around us already. Waking up and sleeping to the sound of nature were special treats for us city people. It was such an amazing experience for us, we appreciated every moments of it. Erin knows everything about anything, she gives the best tips and advice with her special intuitive skills. Don't think twice before staying there, you'd be a fool not to book this as this is the true Costa Rican experience. We cannot thank Erin and Peter enough for opening up their lovely home to us. We've made friends with these two amazing people, that itself was priceless. Pura vida!
Erin and Peter have a little piece of paradise in Garza and they are good hosts. We sat in our private pool one late afternoon and watched howler monkeys in the trees behind the house as we sipped on wine. The next morning we woke up to parakeets and other beautiful birds. This is a great place and we will be back....
We stayed a month at Erin and Peter's villa, and it was one of our favorite AirBnB's - out of of nearly 40 - that we have stayed in over the past two years. Erin and Peter are wonderfully warm, welcoming, and helpful people. They provided us with everything we needed to have a great stay. The location was perfect for us, as it was just a few minutes' drive from restaurants, shops, and the beach, but high in the hills where we had gorgeous views and tranquility. The villa itself was sparkling clean and very well maintained. It is not new, but they have done such a great job taking care of it that it looks like it is. The plunge pool was a fantastic way to cool off at the end of a hot day, and the ocean breezes kept the whole villa cool. We cannot recommend this villa enough, but we hope that it's not so heavily booked that it's available when we return to Costa Rica. We're already making plans to return!
