Amazing property !!
Spotless and beautiful private cottage on the owner's property. Hear howler monkeys every morning and watch birds through your open window. It does get a bit warm during the day but cools off at night, and there are several ceiling fans. Be aware that if you're traveling to this part of Costa Rica you need a vehicle meant for rough roads. We had a Kia car and it was silly. In an SUV, especially one with four-wheel drive, the roads would have been much easier. That said, Garza is a quiet town with a lovely beach, fresh fish to eat, and a relaxing vibe. Take the horseback tour Erin recommends--you'll ride horses on the beach (perhaps in moonlight, as we did, if the tide is right), and you might see monkeys that live close to the beach. We recommend going up to the Nosara Nature Reserve for a tour. We took the 6 a.m. one and saw a spectacled owl and monkeys; also got a nice overview of the area's flora and fauna. Ask there if they are doing turtle tours. The turtles shouldn't have been laying eggs during our trip (full moon), but they were, and so that evening we got to visit the beach and watch. I would return to to this area.Incredible Stay
Erin and Peter's casita was beyond expectations! My boyfriend and I arrived a bit later than expected and outside the normal check in hours but Erin and Peter kindly greeted us and gave us an orientation of the house and the area the following morning. They were very helpful with teaching us about activities, restaurants and getting around the area. The bungalow itself was beautifully designed and the perfect getaway for couples. My boyfriend tends to run very hot and although there was no AC it was not an issue due to the open air design of the house and natural breezes from the ocean. My boyfriend proposed on our second night and we have made memories here that will last a lifetime! I would highly recommend this casita to anyone looking to stay in the Nosara area!Great Vacation - Highly Recommended
Very welcoming. Very cozy. Great vacation without a single worry about lodging. Peter and Erin were very helpful to find local restaurants and hidden beach jewels. Peter gave us directions for interesting places that can't be found in the the travel books. Definitely would visit again.Beautiful and Relaxing
We had a lovely stay at Erin and Peter's jungle casita. Our arrival was delayed by a day as we got into a minor road accident on the drive over from San Jose (an elderly man in a van hit us as he didn't have his glasses on) but Erin and Peter were amazing hosts. They let us stay an extra night for free to make up for the day we missed as they saw that we were still injured and needed to rest. Their casita is exactly as it appears in the photographs and it's next door to their home which is very convenient if you have any questions. Both Erin and Peter are longtime locals so they have great restaurant recommendations and they are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. The casita is sheltered by a beautiful Guancaste tree (a sacred tree in Costa Rica) and the architecture blends in with the rustic jungle surroundings. The bedroom upstairs has tall ceilings and a large bay window overlooking the lush landscape that makes you feel as if you are sitting in a tree house. The decor conjures an luxurious African safari tent complete with a mosquito net. The home is perfect for nature lovers as it's ensconced in the jungle but it's a short drive away from the nearby beaches. It's tastefully decorated, extremely clean and the kitchen is well stocked. It's also reasonably priced compared to nearby hotels. Lying in the hammock and eating breakfast in the garden were highlights. Thanks Erin and Peter for everything! The property is outstanding! GREAT PLACE!
Erin & Peter’s casita is absolutely lovely and precisely as pictured. As hosts they genuinely care about your experience in Costa Rica and at their perfect little tropical home. Before our stay they responded to any questions we sent promptly and provided excellent pre-arrival information. Upon our arrival we found picturesque postcards, fresh fruit and flowers as a welcome gifts. They invited us into their home to help us with some activity planning and served us cold beers and delicious bean dip with chips. The casita is adorable and the bedroom is idyllic and romantic. We were there during quite a warm period, but slept deeply with the breeze coming in from the wide-open window with its jungle canopy view. Only ever awoken by the enchanting sound of the howler monkeys and birds. They provided beach towels and even lent us a hammock, as our beach lounging chairs and hammock were stolen earlier during our Costa Rican trip (don’t leave a thing, not a thing, in your car). We loved the Garza area, a bit more off the beaten path, yet convenient and with the low-key, un-touristy feeling we desired. Erin & Peter’s, beach, restaurant and activity ideas were spot on. Our only mistake was not spending more of our trip in Garza and in their sweet casita. Thank you Erin & Peter! C & KClean and comfy - Great location
Such a lovely place to stay and to chill!great host ,so helpful for our trip!!!! Go for it,you won t regret it!!!
